   부산의 서남쪽에 있는 다대포 해수욕장. 다대포라는 이름은 크고 넓은 포구라는 뜻이다. 이 곳 해수욕장은 특이하게 낙동강 민물과 바닷물이 만나는 하구 부근에 있다. 따라서 수온이 따뜻하고 수심이 얕다. 가족 단위의 피서지로 적합하다. 낙동강 상류에서 실려 온 양질의 모래밭이 완만한 경사를 이루고 있으나 낙동강 상류에 축조된 댐으로 차츰 갯벌화가 진행되고 있다. 이 갯벌은 갖가지 생물들의 터전으로 자연학습장으로도 각광받고 있다. 백사장의 총 면적은 5만 3000㎡, 길이 900m 너비 100m이다. 1970년대에 해수욕장으로 개장한 이후에 매년 7월 1일부터 8월 31일까지 개장한다. 여름에는 국제Rock페스티벌이 열려 백사장을 뜨겁게 달구고, 매년 12월 31일이 되면 다대포 해넘이 축제가 열린다. 옛날에는 섬이었으나 낙동강 상류에서 밀려온 모래로 육지와 이어진 몰운대를 끼고 있어 휴양지로 천혜의 자연 조건을 지니고 있다. 이 외에도 주변에 다대포 패총, 낙동강 하류 철새도래지, 다대포 객사, 꿈의 낙조분수, 아미산전망대 등 문화 유적지와 관광 명소가 많다 |
