   나팔바지와 교복이 아련한 향수를 불러일으키고 사나이들간의 의리와 또 그들만의 고독을 다시 한번 생각하게 하는 영화 ‘친구’의 열풍으로 부산의 억센 사투리와 함께 관광 명소로 떠오른 자갈치시장. 1970년대 중반부터 80년대를 거쳐 1990년 까지 부산을 배경으로 한 영화 ‘친구’에서 주인공 준석의 주요 활동 장면으로 등장했던 자갈치시장은 우리나라 최대의 수산 시장으로 숱한 이야기와 화제가 쌓인 곳이기도 하다. 영화 중반 검정 교복의 고등학생인 준석 동수 중호 상택이 국제시장 까지 달리기 시합을 벌이며 자갈치 건어물 골목을 달리는 배경으로 로버 트 팔 머의 "Bad case of loving you" 가 경쾌하게 들려오는 이 장면은 이 영화를 추억하는 이들이 꼽는 명장면이다. 건어물 골목을 달리면서 네 명 의 주인공들이 모퉁이를 도는 장면에 ‘동방상회’라고 쓰여진 가게 간판이 눈에 띈다. 억척 같으면서도 신명 넘치는 부산 사람들의 삶이 베어 있는 곳. 부산의 대명사로 불리며 영화 ‘친구’의 억센 사투리와 진한 우정 이야기를 풀어내는 자갈치 시장에 서면 다시 한 번 이 골목을 뛰고 싶은 설렘이 일어난다 |
